Charge Technician (Runner)

Runners are the people members meet. You drive a VoltRunner van on a planned route, charge members' cars where they're parked, and leave every car, and every member, better than you found them.

What you'll do

  • Drive a company van on a planned route and arrive inside each member's booked window
  • Connect, monitor and finish each charge safely, following our high-voltage procedures
  • Photograph each car at check-in and check-out and log the energy delivered in the Runner app
  • Keep members updated through the app, and flag access problems to dispatch quickly
  • Run pre-trip van and equipment inspections and report any issue before it becomes a problem

What you need

  • A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our insurer's standards
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in all weather
  • Confident using a smartphone app for routes, photos and job updates
  • Able to follow safety procedures exactly, every time

Nice to have

  • Experience with EVs, electrical work, roadside service or delivery routes
  • Spanish or another language common in Los Angeles

What we offer

  • Paid training, including high-voltage safety

  • Eligible for company benefits after 90 days, subject to plan terms
  • Overtime paid under California law, plus paid sick leave
  • Eligible for a discretionary performance bonus
